This place is a fantastic spot for an authentic Mexican meal. I really enjoy the Huevos Rancheros but today I decided to try the Early Girl Tomatadas. It was a lot of food so I took about a third of it to go. Everything here I've tried always tastes really freshly and expertly prepared. There's a lot of dairy in this dish with sour cream as well as cheese inside but I enjoy my dairy and the refried black beans are a perfect combo. Very tasty and did not disappoint. Lots of dairy. Yum.

These people put love and pride into their food. WONDERFUL FOOD ! I appreciate people who care about their craft ! Especially when it's good food that makes people feel good. I felt like I was treated with the utmost respect. The outdoor setting is colorfully attractive. (though too bad so much traffic driving by constantly - not their fault, of course). The mole is TERRIFIC. It does have some heat to it in spiciness, but wimpy me could still handle it. Tamales also excellent and moist !

While some tacos in Texas and LA will still have my heart and trophy of best-ever, these fish tacos were fantastic. Inside, you can watch them make tortillas from scratch, kneading the massive globs of masa harina on the counter. Service was super kind and efficient in the small space. The bathroom is behind the counter, btw. Patio around back.

This was my first visit to El Molino Central after hearing about it for many years. Located in working class Boyes Hot Springs, it's has a festively painted exterior with bright teal picnic tables outside with a few tables with chairs under the outdoor overhang. No tables inside, just order at the counter and grab beer or wine from the refrigerator. The line was fairly short on a Wednesday in summer for dinner around 6:30. Parking out back near tables with gravel (difficult for handicapped) or out front with handicapped parking spot and asphalt. Complimentary housemade chips and salsa and a few Coronas started the meal. They told us the wait was 25 minutes so we were prepared and took some photos. They deliver your meal by calling your name, no numbers involved. We ordered chicken enchiladas suizas, which was served with a green sauce, queso fresco, mole refried beans and pickled veggies. Very delish and quite filling. Mary's organic chicken was stewed perfectly and it was a lot of food for $18. My brother ordered 3 beef tacos with meat falling off the fork which he said was great. My sister in law ordered chicken sopa's with avocado (on masa) for $18 which looked small with two but was filling. No bugs and the atmosphere was pleasant on a warm Sonoma evening. They deserve to be in the Michelin guide, we will return!

Once again I returned to El Molino, this time for dinner. The chicken mole enchiladas were in one of the best mole sauces , as good as Oaxaca. I still stuck with their amazing fish tacos. The small guacamole and chips was pretty large and the avocados were perfectly ripe. We also enjoyed cold Pacificos and a Mexican mandarin soda. I'm glad that I live in Santa Rosa otherwise it would be too tempting to eat here several times a week. The staff as usual was friendly and efficient and even though they were very busy we didn't have to wait overly long for our dinner.

This is always on our list to hit when we stay at the Fairmont in Sonoma! The menu is seasonal (LOVE!) and the food is so delicious. Battered fish tacos - 4/5 the fish was so fresh but it did the fish did a bit soggy half way through. Ahi tostada - 5/5 the ahi was so fresh and there was an amazing smokey flavor. Guac & chips - 5/5 the chips have such a good crunch to them! Soft serve ice cream 5/5!!! - this is a new addition to their menu and WOW. It's not super sweet and it's so creamy! Service is always quick and everyone is always so happy to serve you! They have lots of to go options as well, including tamales to take home and cook later.

I've been enjoying their chilaquiles for over 10 years at the San Francisco Ferry Building on Saturdays. One Sunday, I had a craving and discovered they also serve them in Sonoma. So, we headed to wine country. The presentation and taste were fantastic and definitely worth the drive. While the chilaquiles were a bit pricey, they were very tasty. I also love the outdoor seating with covered tables and a bit of parking available. I would certainly go back.

Really good Mexican food. We were in the mood for something lighter so went with two fish options: the beer battered fish tacos and the ahi tuna tostada. Both were really good but I prefer the tostada. While I love guac, the guac on top of the beer battered fish and chips quickly made the batter soggy. Next time, I would ask for the guac on the side. Otherwise, the fish is juicy and the fresh corn tortilla amazing. The tuna tostada is light and flavorful and perfect for anyone who likes a little raw tuna. Ample outdoor seating in the back where food is brought out to you. Also plenty of to go options.

Hands down solid place to eat Mexican food here in Sonoma! The food is delicious and fresh, location is cute with an area to eat outside, and the service is excellent. Ordered their vegetarian enchiladas and fish tacos, both excellent in flavor and not as heavy tasting. Together came out to $35 so not the cheapest, but doable.

My first El Molino experience was at the Ferry Building farmers market on Saturdays. Super limited menu and everything is authentic and mouth watering. Then I discovered the brick and mortar. I'd make it a point to visit at least twice a year when I was living in Hawaii. Now that I'm a CA resident again, I simply can't get enough and I actually selected a wine club based on proximity to El Molino. Here's how it works- - parking in the front and gravel rock in back of the restaurant. - Order at the counter in the front and seat yourself in the back. - they have beer, wine, agua frescas, and some other drinks in a fridge along with food that you can purchase to go including tamales, salsas, enchilada plates, etc... if something you want is out- just ask - you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu- I always suggest the fish tacos to folks who are hungry (best value on the menu by far) enchiladas suizas hits the spot everytime... you can get 1/2 orders of certain dishes so just ask! - they bring out your food and call your name. No need to bus your table, they clear the tables as well. - super friendly, well oiled machine, can't get enough!
